Album Review: Seth Lakeman - Word Of Mouth

Seth Lakeman doesn't do things in halves. A veteran of the folk scene, Word Of Mouth is his seventh album and was recorded in a church in the English countryside. Stories of passion and of people and of love and of life dominate the record, and it's impossible to tire of the mastery of his storytelling ability.

Lakeman is a devil of a musician and songwriter, and with lush, sometimes overcrowded arrangements, he is ably backed by a band and a composition style that takes the meaning of English folk music in a much more modern direction.
