"They remain one of the most important punk/hardcore bands on the face of the planet."
Propagandhi's debut LP How To Clean Everything is almost 25 years old, yet they remain one of the most important punk/hardcore bands on the face of the planet.
Victory Lap (album number seven) continues on the path set by 2001's Today's Empires, Tomorrow's Ashes - sublime melodic hardcore flawlessly executed by musicians who never lost their reverence for technical thrash metal. Lyrically the band continue their (un)holy mission to needle the status quo with biting commentary (and patented tongue in cheek humour) on police brutality, alt-right agitators and more broadly a modern world intent on flattening the human spirit. Victory Lap is an apt title - these Winnipeg-based warriors deserve one for yet another stellar effort.
