"A varied and entertaining album."
Ensayo De Un Desaparecido is a varied and entertaining album.
By relying on its strengths, it doesn't twist your arm to make you like it. There is a symphonic overtone carried throughout, from the piano-driven openings of Nocturna Luz and Nubes Sin Aqua to the bass-heavy mellow-rock stylings of Un Abismo Bendito and El Arte De Fracasar, which intertwines with the latter's wild keyboard solo. Sung entirely in Spanish, the record also has an extremely naturalistic flow culminating in the killer, heart-twisting melodies of Vidrio De La Fe and La Orilla.
