"...The band keep things exciting."
The latest release from the Philly four-piece is a short player that crams an album’s worth of hits into a neat little taster which could have easily been the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.
After an unforeseen hiatus, the band reportedly went into the studio with only two songs written - the rest were completed on the fly during recording - and the pent up energy shows throughout.
Control is a driving grungy number showing the band have evolved beyond the two-piece punkers that formed the earliest incarnation of the band, and is easily the stand out track on the EP.
The title track comes in at just over a minute twenty and is as you would expect; short sharp thrashy punk. To Lose You is a 2021 version of Concrete Blonde’s Joey, Pigs distorted bass driven shout fest and Darling is where it all comes to a Beach House-esque conclusion.
Not an instant classic but the band keep things exciting.
