"Leung's obsessions with magic, mind tricks and other nerdy fascinations took centrestage in his Very Strange Things show."
While principally known for his comedy, Leung's obsessions with magic, mind tricks and other nerdy fascinations took centrestage in his Very Strange Things show.
Dividing the world into mystery lovers (magic-believing Mulders) and puzzle solvers (sceptical Scullys) Leung appealed to both sides and proved that each point of view has value, in among some highly unpredictable humour — much of it directed at rooting out fake psychics and his lamentable attempts at being a teenage goth — and even more unpredictable tricks that left audience members in rapt bewilderment.
