"Letters I Never Sent is an excellent debut for an artist with a clear talent and excellent song writing capabilities."
Only 15 years old and full of talent, Perth local, Ella E, has taken her high-selling live sound and enhanced it bringing in a range of layers from group harmonies to violins to produce a beautifully crafted five-track EP.
With a mature and diverse voice Ella is able to manipulate her vocals into a variety of song structures alongside splendid fingerpicking on guitar to produce a 14-minute gem. Opener Alice shines though its gentle harmonies and splendid build, however closer Scorch Tape is a well-rounded standout track with engaging lyrics and smooth finish.
Despite the six tracks being fairly brief, Ella has managed to jam-pack everything required to tell each track’s story, however an extra 30-seconds in each would enable the artist to truly soar. That being said, Letters I Never Sent is an excellent debut for an artist with a clear talent and excellent song writing capabilities.
