He is bold and uncouth yet completely endearing, with one of the funniest conclusions to a show you may ever witness. Just don’t bring your kids.
Few words can describe Dayne Rathbone, however, wang-out hilarious does come to mind. Melbourne-based comedian Rathbone has been featuring at Noodle Palace as part of the Fringe World line-up for the past week and he's been causing quite a stir amongst his audiences. Rumours have been going around about the outcome of some of Rathbone's shows and the verdict is that it's certainly not for the faint of heart. Truly nothing can prepare you for the sequence of random humour to which you will be subject to during a seating of his performance and yet, all that can be said is that you should not miss it – particularly if you like your comedy served up with a big old side of weird. From poetry to fictional narrative, Rathbone takes you on an extreme adventure where no topic is safe from discretion. You can expect lizard quizzes, kids eating cats, hilarious audience interaction and, if you're as lucky as some, a little heckling gone awry met with humorous outbursts and unceremonious exits from audience members who can't handle their comedy. While entirely obscure, Rathbone's style of comedy is original and refreshing. He is bold and uncouth yet completely endearing, with one of the funniest conclusions to a show you may ever witness. Just don't bring your kids.
