"It's an amalgamation of complex, highly detailed, intricately layered electronic music at its finest."
After releasing music for over six years via Ghostly International and Kompakt, the US-born, Wales-raised artist emerges with his exquisite debut album Theory Of Colours.
It's an amalgamation of complex, highly detailed, intricately layered electronic music at its finest. The first single off the LP is Leitmotiv — a hazy, atmospheric track that showcases Dauwd's near immaculate attention to detail, proclivity for piano chords and organic found sounds. The aptly titled Glass Jelly gestures to early Detroit house, as the album draws inspiration from early pioneers Terry Riley and Raymond Scott, while the album's title track Theory Of Colours gently completes the listener's journey.
