One of the year’s best rock records, hands down. Inspired stuff.
The Pennsylvania five-piece let angst, frustration and dogged determination flow beneath thick, unpretentious riffs on this sophomore LP. The songs are clearly the heroes – the blokes sending it out are as humble as can be – and it's hard not to be moved when cuts like Lost Your Name and Notice Me hit their pinnacles. There is, however, balance in mood thanks to the swirling Reflection and bare bones Dirty Head, meaning your favourite song will change regularly – a perfect problem. One of the year's best rock records, hands down. Inspired stuff.
