Autobiographical fast-living ode, Toys, the title track’s swagger and I Wanna Hold You’s infectiousness are engaging. Inside The Vortex’s opening riff is more classic Kiss than much of the current band’s last LP. Capping matters off are multi-transitional instrumental, Starship, and a take on Steve Miller’s The Joker, rock’s extraterrestrial affording new meaning to being a “space cowboy”.
