YUNGBLUD had initially hoped to release his second studio album in April, but fans will have to wait a little bit longer to hear the follow-up to his 2018 debut effort, 21st Century Liability.

The UK songwriter discussed the album release during an appearance on The Green Room with Neil Griffiths podcast backstage at Falls Festival in Byron Bay last week.

"I wanted to bring it out [in April], but I'm gonna push it back a little bit," YUNGBLUD told host Neil Griffiths.

"It's probably gonna be more like... US summer. It's gonna be [Australian] winter. Still hot, though."

In the podcast, YUNGBLUD said the album will be "a lot more emotional" after he admitted to being "angry at the world" while recording 21st Century Liability in a recent interview with The Music.

"The first album was a call out. The first album was, 'Is anybody here? Do you feel like me? Are you out there?' And fuck me man, turns out quite a lot of people are out there," he said.

"The anger has turned into hope. The anger has turned into me coming of age and figuring out who I am."
