Windwaker Summon 'Sirens' On Epic New Single

Good luck getting this chorus out of your head: “I’m thinking bout girls on white horses / With angelic voices / They’re luring me in with their song / Oh what could go wrong,” ex-guitarist Liam Guinane sings (and later screams) on Windwaker’s new single, Sirens.

Connor Robins is another new member of Windwaker, providing synths and samples that sound wicked on Sirens.

A surprising number from the Melbourne outfit, Windwaker have released a track that goes in at least three different directions when you least expect it, with a breakdown that goes hard. Guinane has come into his own as the band’s new vocalist, and compared to their previous single, Left In The Dark, this one is pretty heavy.

With an electrifying new music video you can watch below, Sirens ushers in an eclectic side of Windwaker we couldn’t be happier to hear. The chance of the band playing Sirens on their upcoming Australian tour with Caskets and alt.? Very high.

Windwaker’s Love In The Dark run begins in Perth on Thursday, 20 July, before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Newcastle and coming to a close in Sydney on Saturday, 29 July.

“We’ll be playing songs from Love Language that we haven't performed yet (yes, that means Trenches), some old favourites (Empire never dies) and maybe even a cheeky newbie,” Windwaker commented in a press release about the tour earlier this year.

“We’re giving fans an opportunity to experience our songs in their phattest forms yet with our largest live production to date. This will be Windwaker at our absolute best."

As well as their debut album, Love Language, which the band dropped last year, they have also released the EPs, Fade in 2017 and Empire in 2019, building up an audience and cracking over 1 million streams on Spotify.

Windwaker are currently signed to Fearless Records/Cooking Vinyl Australia alongside Grayscale, Eat Your Heart Out, The Plot In You and many more ripping acts. In 2022, Windwaker opened shows for Northlane, I Prevail and Motionless In White in Australia.
