He turns 80 this year!
In celebration of his 80th birthday this year, country superstar Willie Nelson is set to release a new album, Let's Face The Music and Dance, on Friday 12 March through Sony Music/Legacy Recordings. The album was made in Austin, Texas with producer Buddy Cannon and is the first of a string of releases and events scheduled for this year.
The album also celebrates the 40 years Nelson has spent on the road with his band Family, - the name of which was taken from his 1971 studio album Willie Nelson and Family - comprising of his sister Bobbie Nelson on piano, Paul English on drums and Mickey Raphael on harmonica.
His rollicking memoirs Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die - Musings From The Road is currently a New York Times best-seller, and this new album is an essential addition to his catalogue of recordings.
Here is the track listing for the new album, as you can see it features a diverse range of pop, rock, jazz and country classics all selected by Nelson.
