Wheatus frontman Brendan B. Brown and guitarist/backing vocalist Gabrielle Sterbenz will return to Australia in January and February 2025, announcing a massive 14-date run of acoustic tour dates today. Grab two tickets, and don’t say maybe…
Brown toured Australia twice in 2024—joining Everclear’s Art Alexakis for an acoustic tour in February and returning once more with Wheatus in April for the inaugural Pandemonium Rocks Festival—but this upcoming tour promises to be unique.
The tour begins at Adelaide’s The Gov on Wednesday, 15 January, before the duo head to Fremantle, Scarborough, Margaret River, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Forster/Tuncurry, Newcastle, Manly, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and wrap up the tour at the Torquay Hotel on Sunday, 2 February.
In a review of Wheatus’ set at Pandemonium Festival in Melbourne, The Music’s Madison Thomas applauded the band’s “gem-filled set” packed with “overlooked bangers.”
Adding that Wheatus have unfortunately been labelled a one-hit wonder, Thomas called their set “one of the most enjoyable” of the day.

Getting to the moment everyone had been waiting for, Brown told the crowd, “Thank you for making this song a hit… the first place that embraced this song was Australia,” as they ripped into Teenage Dirtbag, “which is shouted back at the band with gusto.”
