Have a spare tambourine, toy piano and xylophone lying around?
Lead singer of influential pop rock bands Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, and now working under his solo moniker, Andrew McMahon has released a video for Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness' Cecilia And The Satellite played with only brightly coloured, probably very cheap, toy instruments.
The song, which is the 2014 lead single from his solo act's debut long-player of the same name, features the innovative singer/songwriter in a studio, tucked under a baby pink piano as well as playing a kids' tambourine, xylophone, egg shakers and drumming on the back of a ukelele.
Posting on his Facebook, McMahon said, "What do you do when you have a spare afternoon in Nashville? Find a studio, a camera, a box of toy instruments and see if you can't make something cool happen. I had no idea what I was getting into when I showed up for this experiment, but I'm so pleased with how it all turned out. That said you may be able to tell by my face (or many faces) throughout this video that there were moments I felt a little overwhelmed by the process of stitching all these elements together."
A testament to the power of creativity and resourcefulness, now you have no excuse not to make a sick new jam when you're stuck at a five-year-old's birthday party on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

Andrew McMahon will be bringing Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness to Australia this coming August — we can only hope he'll bring his box of toy instruments along.
