Wolfmother to join The Dandy Warhols, DMA's, Ziggy Alberts and a massive arts and culture lineup for the New South Wales Sapphire Coast.
The already-impressive Wanderer Festival has just had an even bigger injection of talent, with eleven new artists joining the lineup including Wolfmother, Alice Ivy, The Vanns, Hayley Mary and more. The September 23-25 event has also confirmed their venue with Pambula Beach hosting three big stages and camping grounds for the inaugural three-day spectacular.
The new announcements join The Dandy Warhols, Ziggy Alberts, DMA's, The Teskey Brothers, Confidence Man, Sarah Blasko, Winston Surfshirt, Curtis Harding, Jack River, Emma Donovan and the Putbacks and so many more, in a big artist lineup now boasting 45 acts. The event also hosts a paralell arts program with acts to intrigue, inspire and delight with comedy, cabaret, visual arts and more. The new announcement adds Die Roten Punkte - Berlin’s prince and princess of art rock and europop in a hilariously wild cabaret. Alex Ward and Lizzy Hoo crown the comedy lineup after performing shows to rave reviews at 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, while Spanish artist Emiliano Matesanz presents Lila’s World, a series of playful installations.
“I am so excited to be sharing this fantastic range of artists with you all," said Artistic Director Ian Pidd. "At Wanderer we feel so confident that our audiences will leave the festival having seen andparticipated in performances and creative works that they didn’t even know existed and now can’t get enough of. You’ll come for the music (I know I do!) but I reckon you’ll love the arts program just as much.”

Those with eagle eyes will already have noticed that the weekend event co-incides with the AFL grand final weekend. Well never fear, Wanderer has you covered, with the big match on a big screen plus cold beer and hot pies on hand. Once you've finished bellowing, cheering or crying over your VB, you can get back to the region's most authentic local produce and beverages while enjoying the arts. While you're there, why not explore the local region?
“We’re thrilled that the Bega Valley Shire Council has given us access to the Pambula Beach community fields,” said Wanderer Festival founder Simon Daly. “The reserve has a beautiful National Parks backdrop and amphitheatre. It’s an easy walk or bike ride to the beach for your morning swim. We’re a stone’s throw to the beautiful village of Pambula and only 10 mins from Merimbula. People will love how close we are to everything.”
The perfect weekend away from either Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra, Wanderer sounds like a top bet for a springtime retreat. Tickets are on sale now from www.wanderer.com.au
