The fourth annual event returns to Woolloongabba

The End Of The Line Festival returns for its fourth year of free, all-ages entertainment in Brisbane next month, and this year's musical line-up is — to use a technical term — a doozy.

Unstoppable local rockers WAAX sit atop the 2017 bill, a well-earned distinction given the mammoth run they've enjoyed this year. Sweetening the pot, they'll be flanked by resurgent local icon Jeremy Neale, who'll be fresh off the release of his debut solo album, Getting The Team Back Together, the day before.

Also filling out the ranks — curated by the ever-tasteful Shannon Logan of local record store Jet Black Cat Music — in style are an eclectic bunch of legends featuring the likes of Sydney faves Flowertruck, a Melburnian hat trick of goodness from Terry, Slow Dancer and Loose Tooth, and home-grown heroes Nice Biscuit, Future Haunts and Spirit Bunny.

Designed to showcase the best that Woollongabba has to offer beyond the fact that Adele once played in the suburb, The End Of The Line Festival doesn't only shine on the musical front, however, with plenty to keep the whole family happy, from deliciousness courtesy of Pearl Cafe, Canvas, Sorelina, Enoteca, ABFab and Electric Avenue to the sensory spectacle that is the Theatre Of Thunder — a merging of live painting, Japanese butoh (dance theatre) and singing — and the visual wonderment of an exhibition at POP Gallery curated by Bill Platz.
