Gibbs could face ten years in prison.
US hip hop artist Freddie Gibbs has been charged in Austria with sexually assaulting a woman while on tour in Vienna last July.
According to Metro, the rapper, real name Fredrick Tipton, was this week charged with "sexual abuse of a defenseless or psychologically impaired person".
Gibbs could face ten years in prison if found guilty.
"He is alleged to have administered knock-out drops to a woman and then have abused her sexually while she was in a defenseless state," a Vienna's criminal court spokesman said.

Gibbs is currently detained in Vienna following his arrest in June.
The 34-year-old musician's Vienna-based lawyer has denied the allegations and has further claimed Gibbs had nothing to do with the woman's drink being spiked.
US lawyer Theodore Simon also denied any wrongdoing.
"While Freddie Gibbs was charged with an offense today, it remains only an allegation, and it does not in any way change the actual facts that Freddie Gibbs is 100 percent innocent," Simon said in a statement.
Gibbs toured Australia this past March in support of Meredith's Golden Plains Festival.
