The British veterans have four shows lined up Down Under in just a few months
London-bred prog-metal outfit Haken have been building their name and fan base for a decade now, and Australian audiences will finally have the chance to rock with them face-to-face at the band's debut run of local shows this year.
The band will kick off their antipodean visit at The Zoo, in Brisbane, before heading on to melt faces en masse in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth over four wild, whirlwind days at the end of September and beginning of October.
Haken released their fourth studio full-length, Affinity, in April last year, so the shows will largely draw from that set list — including prominent tracks such as Initiate, 1985 and The Architect.
But, being their first-ever headline gigs on our shores, the performances are guaranteed to dig into their extensive back-catalogue to dig out some old favourites from earlier releases, including well-known eight-minute epic Cockroach King, from 2013's The Mountain.
