Two Door Cinema Club & Declan McKenna To Tour Australia This December
Two of the world’s most beloved indie icons will be touching down in Australia later this year, touring across 7 different venues.

Grab your friends, find your Doc Martens, and act like it’s Glastonbury in the 2010s because indie behemoths Two Door Cinema Club and Declan McKenna are making the trek back to Australia for the tail-end of 2024.
Presented by triple j, the two artists will co-headline a tour of Australia across December. The tour was teased on Instagram this week:

Supported by London-based boy band Soft Launch, the tour will see the artists touch down at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory on 4th December before departing for the East Coast. Sydney, Melbourne, and Wollongong will be treated to shows before the acts play the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and then back South to Newcastle on 14th December.
Since their founding in 2007, Northern Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club have amassed cult-like status and served as a fan favourite among the zeitgeist of the 2010s indie scene.
Their debut album, Tourist History, rose to fame for hits such as Something Good Can Work, Cigarettes In The Theatre, and What You Know. Now, five albums in, the trio has delved into topics of love, lust, and consumerism amongst ever-growing lush 80s soundscapes.
Also weaving social commentary into his songs, Declan McKenna is best known for his breakout track Brazil, detailing the deep poverty seen in the country, which was glossed over by their 2014 FIFA World Cup win.
The UK artist’s debut album What Do You Think About The Car? did numbers on the airwaves worldwide before being re-hashed by TikTok as a trending sound in 2022. McKenna recently released his latest album, What Happened To The Beach?, carving out instant hits like Mulholland’s Dinner And Wine and Nothing Matters.
Tickets for the double-header will be available as early as next Wednesday, 25th September (11am local time), with presale options available for Mastercard holders on Monday, 23rd, at 11am local time and Live Nation members on Tuesday, 24th at 11am local time.
