Trophy Eyes are taking their new album, Suicide And Sunshine, on the road across regional Australia with special guests Dear Seattle this October.
Starting their run in Cairns, Trophy Eyes and Dear Seattle will visit another ten regional towns before heading to Sandstone Point and Newcastle for This That festival in November. Trophy Eyes will visit Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone, Albury, Canberra, Ulladulla, South Morang, Frankston, Ballarat and Torquay before This That festival occurs.
Tickets to Trophy Eyes’ upcoming regional tour go on sale this Friday, 25 August, at 11 am AEST via the band’s website.
“We’re really excited to hit some of the more regional places we haven't been in a while, if ever,” bassist and backing vocalist Jeremy Winchester said in a statement. “It’s definitely going to be a tour to remember.”
Suicide And Sunshine is Trophy Eyes’ fourth album and third to feature in the ARIA Albums Chart Top 10 – a week after its 24 June release, it debuted at #2 on the Albums Chart behind Kerser’s A Gift & A Kers.
Suicide And Sunshine is about contrast - not just in the title. The album title comes from the track Sean, which is about vocalist John Floreani discovering his mate’s passing on a sunny day before getting into an Uber to a gathering of Sean’s friends.

Floreani explained, “It’s the tragedy and the beauty of life. When we did Chemical Miracle, our second full-length, the logo for the album was a palm tree and a noose. That’s literally suicide and sunshine. It’s always been there on my mind. And I think I finally just phonetically set it out. That encompasses everything I’ve been trying to do my entire career.”
