Thy Art Is Murder will release their sixth album, Godlike, on Friday, 15 September. Godlike marks Thy Art Is Murder's first 100% independently released record, out worldwide via their own label Human Warfare. You can pre-order the album here.
The band also shared a new track today, Join Me In Armageddon, which you can check out below.
“Join Me In Armageddon is a song that started off with one idea: self-destruction,” guitarist Andy Marsh revealed in a statement.
“I suppose throughout this record we have ended up touching on a lot of themes that came to the fore these last few years, for us, and maybe you as well. Loss, distance, doubt, pressure and tension have made their way through our lives and now are intertwined and immortalized in this record, Godlike.”
Godlike saw the band reunite with legendary producer and mixer, Will Putney, to deliver ten nihilistic tracks. Thy Art Is Murder are masters of their craft at this point, as they deliver sharp stabs, guttural descents and grooves with muscular athleticism and confidence.
The press releases teases vocalist CJ McMahon’s “strongest performance ever” as he belts through lyrics that thematically confront how cycles of violence continue over time and feelings of separation in a hyper-polarized world.

Last week, the band posted their full performance from their January Decade Of Hate show on YouTube – check it out here.
The concert was filmed at the Forum in Melbourne on Saturday, 14 January. With video directed by Neal Walters and audio mixed by Putney, the show is a gift to fans for their decade-long support. Additionally, the concert is a colossal assault on the senses backed by some of the most explosive pyro the Forum has ever seen.
“When we set out to record our record Hate all those years ago, none of us could anticipate the ride of a lifetime we were about to embark upon. So it seemed fitting that when we announced this recent Decade Of Hate tour, we were again uncertain about what the shows would hold in store. They turned out to be the biggest of our career,” Marsh said in a statement.
Throughout this month and June, Thy Art Is Murder will bring carnage to regional Australia with Justice For The Damned and To The Grave. View all the tour dates HERE.
