This Week’s Best New Music: KUČKA, A.G. Cook, Anna Lunoe & More

It’s been a HUGE week for new indie, hip-hop and EDM releases – not only did we get fresh new tunes from some of Australia’s finest up-and-comers, like 1tbsp (who just dropped Limosina with cherry chola), SLUMBERJACK (who blessed us with Swear You) and KUČKA (whose new cut Wasting Time is destined to be a hit), but the international heavyweights were out in full force: Ice Spice came in hot with her wicked new banger Gimme A Light, for example, while Remi Wolf delivered another instant classic in Toro, and iann dior got his fans going absolutely mental with Edge Of Tomorrow.

With all of that in mind, now seems like as good a time as any to remind you – or clue you in, if you didn’t know already – that we have our very own playlist dedicated to bringing you the best new music from the underground and beyond, fittingly named Purple Sneakers’ Best New Music. WHAT SHE SAYS: “We’re in a particularly bleak time right now where the algorithm jumps wildly between atrocities, viral animal videos, ads selling us skincare routines, conspiracy theories, etc. They’re all intermingling and finding their way into our subconscious constantly. I wrote this song thinking about how we keep on going – often ignoring reality – and feeding the chaos as a means of escape.”
