The group will play four shows around the country in March.
Revered US DJs Thievery Corporation have announced a four-date tour of Australia for March next year, on which they'll be joined by a full live band to serve up yet another mesmerising series of genre-transcending performances.
Starting things off over on the west coast at Perth's Metro City on Thursday 8 March, the band — centred on founders Rob Garza and Eric Hilton — will make their way to Sydney for a licensed all-ages outing (their only one of the tour), then Melbourne and Brisbane.
The pair released their 10th studio album, The Temple Of I & I, in February, the latest chapter in an eclectic and colourful career that has seen the band consistently lauded for their ability to effortlessly draw from a diversity of influences, from bossa nova, Jamaican dub and Afrobeat to trip hop, acid jazz, Indian, Middle Eastern music and more.
"We’ve never been concerned with fitting into the music industry," Garza said in a statement. "Approaching our music as a production duo has allowed us to never feel limited to one particular sound and traverse many fascinating musical landscapes."
