The pop-punkers will (belatedly) make it Down Under after all
Pennsylvanian pop-punk stalwarts The Wonder Years have had their intentions of an Australian journey thrown a lifeline by the venerable Soundwave Festival, who have confirmed the nine-year-old outfit as the latest addition to the 2015 event's already high-quality line-up.
The band, who were forced to cancel a planned tour Down Under a matter of days ago, announced the news in typically irreverent style, posting a casual couch photo on their social media accounts of the members with a rough-cut cardboard sign with the explanatory hashtag "#SW15" (pictured above).
It seems that the festival's "Superman-font" 2015 logo is a little more fitting than we first might have given it credit for, because this kind of altruistic act is sure to have won over a veritable truckload of previously disappointed Wonder Years fans, if they weren't already one of the converted.
Refunds for the cancelled shows are available from points of purchase. Sort that out, then use your newly freed-up cash to make use of the second-chance saloon at Soundwave 2015.
