The Weeknd Teases Final Album In 'After Hours', 'Dawn FM' Trilogy
His new release might just be his final album under the moniker The Weeknd.

Canadian-Ethiopian pop star The Weeknd (real name Abel Tesfaye) has teased the final album in his latest trilogy, with the new LP to follow 2020’s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM.
The Save Your Tears singer shared the teaser on social media yesterday. He posted images of the album covers for After Hours and Dawn FM, followed by a third slide that features a white question mark and parental advisory sticker over a black background. The post is simply captioned “3”.
The final album in his second “Trilogy” – he released the mixtapes House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence in 2011. In 2012, they were repackaged as Trilogy and released by Republic Records and his XO label – follows the bombshell announcement Tesfaye made last May: it might just be his final album under the moniker The Weeknd.
“It’s getting to a place and a time where I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter,” Tesfaye remarked in a W Magazine interview. “I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I’m definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn.”
He continued, “The visuals are vital to my career. The album I’m working on now is probably my last hurrah as The Weeknd. This is something that I have to do. As The Weeknd, I’ve said everything I can say.”
In November, The Weeknd postponed his highly anticipated Australian tour. Citing “unforeseen circumstances”, the hitmaker shocked punters with the news as the tour was due to begin just three weeks after his announcement.

Tickets bought for his November tour dates will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced this year. Refunds will also be available for fans who can’t attend the new dates.
The Weeknd was due to bring his After Hours Til Dawn tour to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The initial show announcements were met with phenomenal demand, with extra shows added for each state.
In a statement to his fans in Australia and New Zealand, The Weeknd wrote:
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia/New Zealand tour. New dates will be announced next year, and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can't wait to be there with you!
