The Teskey Brothers have been announced as the headliners for the next regional winery tour presented by A Day On The Green, with six incredibly special shows on the itinerary for next January.
In addition to the five-time ARIA-winning blues-rockers (who, spoiler alert, will be this week’s cover artists on TheMusic.com.au), the lineups will feature two beloved acts from the US – Band Of Horses and Sierra Ferrell – as well as Irish singer-songwriter CMAT and local up-and-comer Charlie Needs Braces.
The whirlwind stint will begin in Perth on Wednesday January 8, when the ever-bewitching cohort take to the stage at Burswood Park. They’ll head to South Australia next, playing the Peter Lehmann Wines estate in the Barossa Valley on Friday January 10, before heading to the Mt Duneed Estate in Geelong the following day (January 11). Rounding out that week on the Sunday (January 12), they’ll all perform at Centennial Vineyards in Bowral.
Wrapping up the tour will be another two back-to-back shows – the first is locked in for Saturday January 18 at the Bimbadgen winery in the Hunter Valley, and the second will go down the next day (January 19) at Sirromet Wines in Mount Cotton.
Tickets for all six shows go on sale at 12pm local time next Thursday (June 27), following two presales – one for AAMI customers and one for members of A Day On The Green’s mailing list – both kicking off at 10am next Monday (June 24); head here for more info on all three sales.

In a press release, Josh Teskey said of his (and brother Sam’s) excitement for the upcoming run: “After many months on tour overseas, we are excited to be bringing the show home for this very special A Day On The Green run in January. To make it a full day’s affair, it’s a huge thrill to be bringing together some of our favourite acts from around the world. Honoured to be joined by the epic Band Of Horses, Nashville legend Sierra Ferrell, always excited to see CMAT and our local favourite Charlie Needs Braces. Come join us for what will be a beautiful day on the green!”
The Teskey Brothers are still riding hot on the heels of their career-defining third album, The Winding Way, which arrived last June via Ivy League. It earned the duo a suite of awards, including the ARIA for Best Blues & Roots Album, the National Live Music Award for Best Blues & Roots Act, the Rolling Stone Australia Award for Best Record, and the APRA Award for Songwriter[s] Of The Year.
The duo followed The Winding Way up last December with the five-track live EP The Circle Sessions.
