The Living End To Headline Pre-match Entertainment At State Of Origin Game One

On Wednesday, 31 May, The Living End will headline the pre-match entertainment at Game One of the 2023 State Of Origin series.

The band shared the news that they’ll be hitting Adelaide Oval at the end of the month and wrote, “We’re pumped to be playing the State of Origin! Turn up your TV folks because Footy and Rock’n’roll music is a mighty pairing.”

A similar announcement was made on the State Of Origin Facebook page, with a post from yesterday that noted, “Six-time ARIA-winning Australian rock band, The Living End, will headline the pre-match entertainment at Ampol State of Origin Game One at Adelaide Oval.” You can get your tickets here.

In April, Australian music headlined the Melbourne Formula 1 race, with Birds Of Tokyo and Sneaky Sound System performing on race day.

Birds Of Tokyo’s Adam Weston wrote on social media, "The Birds camp are beyond excited to be taking our show to the F1 Grand Prix in Melbourne next April. It’s one of the greatest sporting spectacles on the calendar, and there's nothing quite like the sound of Formula 1. We'll be soaking up as much of the high-octane atmosphere as possible!"

In February, the Australian Open held the first-ever AO Finals Festival, led by Vanessa Amorosi, as well as Montaigne and Melbourne DJ Bertie. On the Women’s Final day, Benee took to the stage after Thelma Plum, Winston Surfshirt and CC:DISCO!.

The KFC Big Bash, held in December and January, also hosted an epic music line-up for its 12^th event. The Big Bash hosted Peking Duk, The Temper Trap, Ball Park Music, Sneaky Sound System and Northeast Party House, as well as some of Australia’s fastest-rising musicians in Sycco, Memphis LK, KLP, Kinder and Stace Cadet. 

ARIA and Music Victoria Award winner Baker Boy also performed in a special appearance during Melbourne's First Nations Round celebrations.
