“Their flight departing Osaka had a malfunction."
US outfit The Internet have been forced to cancel their headline show in Perth tomorrow night.
The five-piece were scheduled to kick off their Australian tour at Perth Festival, but have cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances and through no fault of the band”.
“It is with regret that we inform you that The Internet will not be able to get to Perth in time for their performance at Perth Festival,” the band’s management said.
“Their flight departing Osaka had a malfunction and it was not possible to get them on another flight to get them to Perth on time."
Perth Festival will refund all current ticketholders and will host a free gig at Chevron Gardens tomorrow night featuring Perth electronic soul and R&B talent Jamilla.
The Internet’s Australian tour will now commence in Melbourne on Sunday night.
