Mat McHugh is getting the full band back together for their yearly sojourn around the country
The Beautiful Girls have just let out that they will be putting on a select run of shows across Australia starting early 2016 to celebrate their annual Summer SoundSystem outings.
After a nine-month break, which saw lead singer/songwriter Mat McHugh take time out to repair neck and back injuries and drop his well-received album Waves, the band is set to take to the road and perform for fans.
The summer sets are to begin in Victoria’s The Westernport Hotel, San Remo, (6 January), Torquay Hotel, Torquay, (7 January), The Grand, Mornington, (8 January), down to Tassie at The Basin Concert, Launceston, (9 January), after taking a breather they will resume in NSW at The Great Northern, Byron Bay, NSW (14 January), onto Queensland’s Sol Bar, Maroochydore, (15 January), Coolangatta Hotel, Gold Coast, (16 January), then they take a second breath before heading out to Western Australia at The Northside Tavern, Hillarys, WA (22 January), The Rosemount, Perth, (23 January), Dunsborough Tavern, Dunsborough (24 January), The Railway Hotel, Fremantle, (25 January) then later on back in NSW at Party In The Park, Narrabeen, (19 March) but this is not all, more dates still to be announced.
The Beautiful Girls are expected to host a full band line-up and play out their deep catalogue of albums as well a few musical surprises to drop from their sleeves. Also, a free live track is set to be released today (30 November) via social media with a second drop to soon follow in hot anticipation for the Summer SoundSystem tour.
