The Amity Affliction have announced the Australian leg of their tour celebrating ten years of Let The Ocean Take Me, with five massive shows on the itinerary for this November.
As expected, these shows will see the Gympie band perform their classic 2014 album (easily their best body of work, in this writer’s opinion) in its entirety, as well as a handful of fan-favourites from the rest of their eight-album catalogue.
The trek will start in Brisbane (Meanjin) on Friday November 18, when The Amity Affliction will take over the idyllic outdoor Riverstage. They’ll head to Sydney (Eora) next, playing the Hordern Pavilion the following night (November 9), before rolling through Melbourne (Naarm), Adelaide (Kaurna) and Perth (Boorloo) over a whirlwind three-day stint the following week.
Supporting them for all five shows will be fellow metalcore heavyweights Ice Nine Kills, as well as We Came As Romans and fast-rising Melbourne hardcore outfit HEAVENSGATE.
Tickets go on sale at 12pm local time this Thursday (May 2) following presales for Vodafone and Mastercard users, both of which kick off at the same time tomorrow (April 30) – head here for more info on all of the sales.

Let The Ocean Take Me was initially released in June of 2014, marking The Amity Affliction’s fourth studio album. It was well-received at the time – TheMusic.com.au once called it “proof that sometimes passion and honesty can turn a decent album into a great one” – but has since grown to become an essential part of the band’s discography.
Back in August of last year, the band confirmed they had plans to release a special anniversary edition of Let The Ocean Take Me. That’s yet to materialise, but there are hopes Amity will make an announcement soon, given the news of this tour.
Meanwhile, the band released their self-produced eighth album, Not Without My Ghosts, last May via Pure Noise Records. It was another instantaneous success, debuting at #2 on the ARIA Albums Chart and topping the Australian Albums and Vinyl charts.
