Two of Australia’s most exciting rock bands, Between You & Me and Teenage Joans, have just announced an epic 17-date regional tour of the country.
Starting in Adelaide on Friday, 9 August, the 1800-Painless tour then heads to Scarborough, Bunbury, Belgrave, St Kilda, Hobart, Geelong, Ballarat, Albury, Canberra, Wollongong, Penrith, Newcastle, the Central Coast, the Gold Coast, Maroochydore, and will wrap up in Coffs Harbour on Saturday, 7 September. It’s a pretty stacked tour taking place over a whole month – you won’t want to miss out.
In a statement, Teenage Joans’ Cahli Blakers and Tahlia Borg said of the upcoming tour, “The Between You & Me x Teenage Joans tour is honestly SO overdue! We are so keen to finally be on the road with our BYAM mates!”
Between You & Me added, “We cannot wait to get on the road with TJ’s. It’s been a long time coming, and now it’s finally happening. We are grabbing the sleeping bags and going regional; this tour is going to be in-tents but painless.”
Tickets to the 1800-Painless tour are on sale now – you can find them on the Live Nation Australia website.
Yesterday, it was announced that Between You & Me would open for UK trio Busted on their first-ever Australian headline tour. The Aussie rockers are touring off the back of their brand-new EP, SH!T YEAH, which they released independently back in April.

Last year, the band’s bassist, James Karagiozis, linked up with members of Polaris, Stand Atlantic and more to perform with Linkin Park legend Mike Shinoda.
Karagiozis said of the endeavour: “This project was so much fun. Working with Mike was a dream and a breeze; he is one great human being. I have been a big fan for a long time, and the whole thing felt so surreal but also genuine. Working with a hero and then feeling like we were peers by the end of it was not on my bucket list for ‘23, but I’m here for it and vibing.”
In Teenage Joans news, the duo recently worked with one of their biggest fans, Frank Turner, embarked on a national acoustic tour, and last year, dropped their fantastic debut album, The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest.
Teenage Joans took The Music track-by-track through the album upon its release – you can check that out here.
