The Scottish faves have added to their festival/concert commitments in March
Celebrated Scottish five-piece Teenage Fanclub have bolstered their impending Australian visit in March next year with a pair of headline shows, their first such appearances on local shores in more than 10 years.
Having last headlined a gig in the country in 2005, the alt-rock veterans will have their name in lights at The Triffid, in Brisbane, before they head southwards for a Twilight At Taronga performance in Sydney and a slot at Golden Plains, in Melbourne, both of which are all-ages events. They bookend the trip with another Melbourne show, taking an 18+ appearance to the Corner Hotel.
The long-serving rockers land in Australia following the arrival of their eagerly received 10th studio full-length, Here, a 12-track effort six years in the making that has seen many raise the argument that, even nearly 30 years into their enviable career, they're clearly still capable of bettering past efforts to remain a vital force in global contemporary music circles.
Tickets for the Brisbane and Melbourne shows go on sale from 10am (AEDT) this Friday via Oztix and Ticketscout, respectively.
