Techno’s Derrick May Names Australian Dates

Techno veteran Derrick May has announced a run of five Australian dates in April.

Considered by large portions of the dance music industry as having a strong, guiding hand in the development of techno, he was behind one of techno's early classics – Strings Of Life – which dropped in 1987. Since then he's had a hand in festivals, soundtracks and in various different collaborations.

These dates are a slice of genre history:

Friday 19 April – Brisbane, Barsoma
Saturday 20 April – Sydney, Goldfish
Wednesday 24 April – Perth, The Likes Of You
Thursday 25 April – Melbourne, Smalltown
Friday 26 April – Adelaide, Electric Circus
