The band's other shows will still go ahead.
Bad news for Newcastle fans of '90s boy band Take That — the Back For Good hitmakers have cancelled their planned gig in the city that was scheduled for 19 November.
According to the Newcastle Herald, the cancellation stems from low ticket sales for the Entertainment Centre show, despite being the group's first visit to Australia in over 20 years.
They originally broke up in 1996 before reconvening in 2005 minus co-founder Robbie Williams, who had gone on to become, well, Robbie Williams. The band has since released more albums during their second iteration — five, the most recent being this year's Wonderland — than during their phenom-level peak in the 1990s.
For those dedicated fans who did secure a ticket, refunds will be issued from the point of purchase.

Take That's other upcoming shows — their first tour of Australia since 1995 — are still scheduled to go ahead.
The tour kicks off in Perth on 11 November, and heads through Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane over the ensuing week.
If you're in any of those cities and keen to catch Take That (admittedly, sans Williams and now-departed member Jason Orange), see theGuide for details.
