T-Pain, Ashanti Lead Huge Juicy Fest 2024 Line-up

Juicy Fest, the largest 2000s-inspired hip-hop and R&B festival in the Southern Hemisphere, is returning to Australia next year after its triumphant debut earlier this year.

Over 100,000 punters attended the inaugural events in 2023, and with nine locations promised for Australia and New Zealand in 2024, Juicy Fest could grow even bigger.

“Next year’s event will be bigger and better than this year’s debut, which showcased global mainstream stars Nelly, Ja-Rule, and Ne-Yo,” festival spokesperson Matthew Spratt said in a statement.

Spratt added, “The 2024 event will be built upon the success of our inaugural year to become one of the leading music festivals on the Australian and New Zealand calendar.”

The 2024 edition of Juicy Fest will be headlined by four hip-hop and R&B trailblazers, including T-Pain, Ashanti, T.I. and The Game. Another headliner will be announced at a later date. The rest of the lineup features the 90s and 2000s legends Trey Songz, Fabolous, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Keri Hilson, and Mario.

Juicy Fest 2024 will kick off in Christchurch on 3 January before heading to Wellington, Tauranga and Auckland and then trekking to Australia to blow minds in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast.

Last month, T-Pain released a covers album, On Top Of The Covers, packed with rock and roll and soul classics.

"This covers album has been years in the making. I started recording this right after I won The Masked Singer," T-Pain revealed in a press release. 

"It got put on hold for a bit, but now that I’m independent, I’m able to do whatever I want to do through Nappy Boy Entertainment, and this is something I’ve felt strongly about for a long time. These songs are not what you’d expect when you hear that T-Pain is doing a covers album, and that is what I think is cool about it."

On the album, T-Pain took on the Black Sabbath classic, War Pigs, Journey's Don't Stop Believin', Stay With Me by Sam Smith, and A Change Is Gonna Come, among others. You can check it out here.
