"It took some time, but we found our guy."
Legendary '90s rock band, Stone Temple Pilots, have introduced their new lead singer after an extensive search.
Performing a private show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, the group introduced Jeff Gutt as their new lead singer.
The announcement comes after a difficult few years for the band, after the departure of original lead Scott Weiland in 2013 and Weiland's subsequent death in December, 2015.
Weiland was replaced by Linkin Park's Chester Bennington in May 2013, before he left the group in 2015 to focus solely on Linkin Park, prior to his death this year.

"We wanted someone who would not only do our earlier songs justice, but would also write new songs and carve out a different path forward with us," says guitarist Dean DeLeo. "It took some time, but we found our guy."
Stone Temple Pilots are planning to release their new album with Gutt in during autumn next year.
