If you’re a fan of the Olympics and have access to Stan Sport or look through social media for videos and the biggest moments, chances are you’ve come across Snoop Dogg on the US broadcast of this year’s event.
Snoop, an Olympics buff who’s “done everything and beyond” during the Paris Games (per NBC Sports President Rick Cordella), has displayed “enthusiastic” and “optimistic” broadcasting skills to the point where NBC Sports would be “thrilled” to have him back for the 2026 Milano-Cortina Games. But how much is he being paid for this run?
According to Henry L. McNamara, a New York-based venture capitalist and Forbes 30-Under-30 honouree, the rapper and entrepreneur is reportedly taking home $500,000 a day for his Olympic appearances, plus expenses.
“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics,” McNamara wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter. “From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics - what a world.”

The Athlete Lifestyle on SI did the math, and for 17 days of the Olympics, Snoop Dogg’s earnings could exceed an already massive $8.5 million.
Last month, it was announced that Snoop Dogg would be carrying the Olympic Flame for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
The rapper walked through the northern Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium.
As an Olympic reporter, NBC confirmed that Snoop would “explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and visit with the athletes, their friends, and families”.
In a press release, Snoop affirmed that he didn’t just take the job for an extra drop of fame (or money), noting he “grew up watching the Olympics” and is “thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris” for “a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness”.
He added, “We’re going to have some amazing competitions, and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate, and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, ya dig?”
