The lauded jazz/funk ensemble have lined up three shows around their festival commitment
Celebrated instrumental-jazz ensemble Snarky Puppy will make a lot of people happy with the news that they've secured three sideshow performance dates to complement their impending appearance at the 2017 Byron Bay Bluesfest event.
The many-membered musical magicians will play a double-header in Melbourne — an afternoon and an evening show — at the city's Recital Centre, as well as taking to the hallowed hall of the Enmore Theatre, up in Sydney, while they're at it.
The Texas-bred, New York-based outfit recently released their 11th album in 10 years, Culcha Vulcha, which happens to be their first wholly studio-based effort since 2008's third LP Bring Us The Bright. It's not like their mix-n-match approach to making music has had any kind of negative influence on their career trajectory, however; the band picked up a Grammy in 2014 for Best R&B Performance and followed that up this year with a win for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
Tickets for Snarky Puppy's Bluesfest sideshows — proudly presented by The Music — will go on sale from 10am AEST this Thursday, 22 September.
