Slipknot are currently touring in celebration of their 25th anniversary, touring across the US this month and in September before heading to the UK and Europe in December.
What you would expect from a typical 25th-anniversary tour – a set tracking a band’s entire career to date – isn’t what fans have received from the band two dates into the tour, with Slipknot opting for a unique set packed with deep cuts instead.
On the Here Comes The Pain tour, six songs on the set are rarities. Before the tour began on Tuesday (6 August), those songs hadn’t been played in years – some hadn’t been performed in 24 years.
The 25th-anniversary setlist features Slipknot’s 1999 self-titled album played in its entirety, and nothing else—vocalist Corey Taylor wasn’t kidding when he said, “Nothing you will hear tonight was written after 1999” in recent footage. You can check out the setlist below.
With the early setlists in, it’s fair to say that fans can expect a similar set full of deep cuts ahead of Slipknot’s return to Australia to headline their titular festival, Knotfest, in 2025.

Earlier this year, Slipknot and tour promoters Destroy All Lines announced that if you attended this year’s edition of Knotfest Australia, you will receive an exclusive first run of tickets to Knotfest 2025. Those tickets will be available before all other pre-sales.
The line-up for Knotfest Australia 2025 – headlined by Slipknot – will be revealed later this year.
In one of the worst-kept secrets in modern metal, back in May, Slipknot revealed the identity of their new drummer: former Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande.
The rumour mill started churning in November after the Iowa metallers sacked drummer Jay Weinberg, who was “heartbroken and blindsided” by the band’s decision. Weinberg has since joined Suicidal Tendencies and Infectious Grooves.
