It's official.
While Guns N' Roses were announced as a headlining act for Coachella 2016 yesterday, what wasn't made clear was if some of the iconic rock group's classic members would be taking part, but at least some of those questions have been answered with confirmation that Slash and Duff McKagan will regroup with frontman Axl Rose to perform the two festival dates, ending months of speculation.
As Blabbermouth reports, a press release from the band has confirmed that Slash, Rose and McKagan will all perform together at Coachella.
The official press release reads, "Upholding a three-decade tradition of breaking ground, creating trends, and forever changing the face of rock ‘n’ roll, Guns N’ Roses announce the most significant and anxiously awaited musical event of this century."
"Founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan will regroup to headline the Coachella Music & Arts Festival (April 15-17 & April 22-24)."

While McKagan has performed separately with both Rose and Slash over the years, the Coachella shows will mark the first time the three play live together since 1993.
The involvement of past members Izzy Stradlin, Gilby Clarke, Steven Adler or Matt Sorum is unclear at this point, though it has been speculated that either Sorum or current Gunners member Frank Ferrer will play drums, while current guitarist Richard Fortus will round out the line-up.
Both Slash and McKagan teased their involvement in the Coachella shows by posting identical images to their social media accounts yesterday.
Speculation of a reunion of the classic line-up was sparked last year after it was revealed that Slash and Rose were finally on friendly terms following a near 20-year feud.
The only public response that Rose has given in regards to the Coachella shows in the last 24 hours is a tongue-in-cheek post on Twitter.
Billboard are also reporting that the band are negotiating a 25-date football stadium tour throughout North America this year and are asking for as much as $3 million per show.
