Is it time for an 'Australian Idol' rematch?

For anyone looking at Instagram yesterday (20 October), it would have been easy to think that maybe we had been transported back to 2003.
With his arm around his Australian Idol mate, Shannon Noll posted a pic where he looked thrilled to be beside Guy Sebastian.
“Great to see my mate @guysebastian today,” Noll wrote on Instagram. “We were doing a shoot at Maroubra and he called in to say g’day! Always great to catch up!”
Sebastian commented, “Made my day brother. You’re the king”.
Sebastian also shared the photo to his Instagram Stories, writing alongside the reunion picture, “Look who was doing a shoot down in my neck of the woods. The legend and unit himself @nollsie. Always reminding me I gotta lift.”
The nostalgia continued in the comments, with users writing, “NOLLSIE WAS ROBBED”, “The people need a rematch”, “Don’t leave ya wallet around Nollsy #robbed”, and even more. Check out Noll’s Instagram post and Sebastian's Instagram Story below.

Sebastian and Noll have been celebrating the 20th anniversary of the first season of Australian Idol this year – the season that changed both of their lives – albeit in different ways.
Earlier this year, Noll, now a country music sensation, started his own podcast called Idol Talking With Nollsie. “Guys... I've started a Podcast!” he said on social media.
“Each week, I'll be chatting with friends of mine in the entertainment industry, and we'll even be reviewing some upcoming episodes of Australian Idol for a bit of fun! My first guest is Ian “DICKO” Dickson.”
In December, Sebastian is commemorating his Idol win with his two Double Decade Celebration concerts at the Sydney Opera House Forecourt. The second show was announced after the first was met with extraordinary demand.
“Twenty years ago, when I was standing on the very same steps at the Opera House, I couldn’t [have] imagined that I would be back here still doing what I love, so come celebrate with me,” Sebastian said in a statement.
In a Facebook post, he added, “For this one-off show, I’m going to dive back into the catalogue, choose songs that have always been fan favourites, maybe some that I haven’t even performed before… and even some songs from Idol all those years ago. It will be a night under the stars that I won’t forget – can’t wait to see you there!”
