The Superjesus singer and solo artist Sarah McLeod has rescheduled and cancelled upcoming tour dates for personal reasons.
In a statement posted to Facebook on Thursday afternoon (25 January), McLeod announced that she’d rescheduled a show slated to take place this weekend at Screw It Wine Bar in Sunbury, Victoria, for personal reasons. Her performance at George Lane, St Kilda, due to occur tomorrow night, has been cancelled for now.
McLeod’s Screw It Wine Bar concert has been postponed until Sunday, 4 February.
Yesterday, McLeod revealed that her father, Don Charlton McLeod, passed away peacefully surrounded by “family, love and music”.
In a social media post, McLeod shared some of her father’s remarkable life story, including his time as a war correspondent for CBS News during the Vietnam War, sailing the world with Australian adventurer Alby Mangels as the cinematographer for the film World Safari 2, and built his own yacht named after his daughters, Leah and Sarah, at age 50.
“He lived on in far North Queensland for the next 25 years. His final chapter was spent living on the land in Brisbane,” McLeod continued. “He was a true character, a one of a kind. Everybody loved him. He is now free to return to the ocean where he belongs ❤️ See ya later Daddio, I promise I won’t drive in the fast lane anymore xxx Sarah”.

For McLeod’s solo tour dates, she’s set to reprise her 2021 One Electric Lady show – with updates. According to a press release, her setlist includes “beautifully broken down versions of her solo and Superjesus back catalogue plus a few special covers.”
Following her concert at Screw It Wine Bar, McLeod has another two February tour dates, where she will perform at the free ticketed event, Carnival of Cups, at the Albury Showgrounds alongside You Am I and The Whitlams. She then has a show scheduled at 27 Club as part of Adelaide Fringe – tickets are available via her website.
