Then follows the intimate showcases with a couple of larger shows.
Sarah Blasko has announced a run of tour dates in her native NSW. And because, you know, COVID, these shows won't be your run of the mill tour.
The tour kicks off first with 12 small shows at The Old 505 Theatre in Sydney from 10 - 15 November. This season of shows will be part concert, part conversation, and will see Blasko perform and test out brand new works, inviting the audience into a discussion around the creative process as she prepares for her next album. And by small we mean small - in a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with Blasko, these Old 505 Theatre shows will have a capacity of just 51 people. Each of the shows will be recorded with a view to potentially including some of these performances on Blasko’s forthcoming new album.
But these shows won't just be Blasko trying out new tracks, she will finish each show with faves from her back catalogue.
Following this intimate run of gigs, Blasko will then turn her attention to the larger stages of City Recital Hall in Sydney and Wollongong’s UniHall, drawing on both new material and a selection of classics for these theatre shows.
