“LEGENDS ONLY!”
Melbourne-based rapper Sampa The Great truly lived up to her name in an epic performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on April 19.
Joining Angélique Kidjo (with some help from The Roots) to perform Let Me Be Great from the album As Above, So Below, the Aussie talent received a wealth of praise from viewers for her commanding presence on stage.
"Stood up and applauded Sampa the Great and Angelique Kidjo on Jimmy Fallon just now. Just wow. I'm gonna have to wake up later today and watch that again," one fan commented on Twitter.
Another added, "Let me go watch Sampa The Great perform let me be Great on Jimmy Fallon to inspire me. Might just unlock my inner greatness after a hard day."

Taking to Instagram, Sampa marked the occasion with a snap alongside Angélique and former United States First Lady Michelle Obama, who was also a guest on Wednesday's episode of The Tonight Show.
“LEGENDS ONLY!” Sampa captioned the social media snap. “What an honour."

It's yet another achievement for Sampa The Great, whose As Above, So Below track Never Forget featuring Chef 187, Mwanjé, and Tio Nason appeared in the official trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
“Can you imagine!” Sampa tweeted back in October. “Me … A non-Billboard charting ass, No huge awards having ass, non Viral ass, No sold-out arena tour having ass Independent artist. Whose song is on a Black Panther trailer! This how God works. Thankful!!”
