They're coming a long way to play for you
Grammy-winning Saharan Desert rock group Tinariwen have announced they’re bringing their eclectic live show to Australian in 2018.
The group, which was formed back in 1979, are making the trip over here on the back of their eighth album, Elwan (‘The Elephants’) which was recorded in M’Hamid El Gizlane – an oasis town in southern Morocco – and features collaborations with the likes of Mark Lanegan and Kurt Vile.
The March tour has been promised to include a wealth of material from the outfit’s extensive back catalogue as well as new music. Tinariwen are bringing their shows to Melbourne and Marrickville as well as doing two dates at South Australia’s WOMADelaide festival.
