Five dates around the country coming up.
At the risk of sounding simple, there are a lot of heavy bands out there, but there are few of them who are quite as affecting and captivating as Chicago's Russian Circles. They've proved that to us on previous tours and will do it all over again when they return in a couple of months' time.
Yes, there are only three guys on stage, but the way in which they play means the music often sounds like it's being made by an army of men; the heavy bass playing, chaotic (yet precise) drumming and the wondrous looping guitar riffs all coming together brilliantly. It's heavy, but it's constructed and executed meticulously; this is a really good band.
They dropped their fifth LP Memorial towards the end of last year – listen to it here – and will be in Australia in support of it in April and May, playing five dates around the country. All those dates are in theGuide below and you can grab tickets through OzTix now.
