Teenage Joans have announced a national tour to support their upcoming debut album, The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest, hitting stages in five cities this November.
The run will kick off in Meanjin/Brisbane on Thursday November 2, when the fast-rising pop-punk duo take over The Triffid. They’ll hit the Factory Theatre in Eora/Sydney next – performing on Saturday November 4 – before rolling through Naarm/Melbourne (Tuesday November 7 at the Corner Hotel), their stomping grounds of Kaurna/Adelaide (Thursday November 9 at The Gov) and finally Boorloo/Perth (Friday November 10 at Jack Rabbit Slims).
Supporting them at all shows will be fellow Adelaide up-and-comer Aleksiah. Bella Amor will appear at the first four dates on the itinerary, with the Perth show instead sporting Dulcie as the main support act. Tickets for all the shows go on sale at 10am AEST tomorrow (August 22) – find them here.
As announced by Teenage Joans earlier in August, The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest is set to arrive on October 13 via Domestic La La. It’ll feature the singles Candy Apple and Superglue, and comes as the follow-up to their acclaimed 2021 EP Taste Of Me.
In a four-star review for The Music, Keira Leonard wrote that Teenage Joans “released something special with Taste Of Me. While you’ll be eager for more, their five-track debut certainly won’t get tiring. It’s angsty, wholesome, unified and so damn fun.”
