Roger Waters Confirms Aus Screenings For New Film & Unveils Trailer

Roger Waters’ critically acclaimed Us + Them tour will take over Australian cinemas for two nights only, and the Pink Floyd mastermind has today unveiled a new trailer for the film.

Featuring iconic Pink Floyd songs and cuts from Rogers’ latest solo offering, Is This The Life We Really Want?, and shot in Amsterdam during the 2017/2018 Us + Them world tour, the visual spectacular will screen across the country on October 2 and 6.

“I’m so looking forward to the launch of the movie in October,” Rogers said.

“Us + Them is not standard rock and roll fare, some in the audience may 'yee haaaa!!!’ which is ok, but many will weep. That is what I hope for.

“Us + Them is a call to action. Homo sapiens stand at a crossroads, we can either pool our love, develop our capacity to empathise with others and act collectively for the good of our planet, or we can remain comfortably numb, and continue, like blind lemmings, on our current homicidal death march towards extinction.”

Director Sean Evans said he believed they had “outdone The Wall”.

“This is a great film - an amazing performance delivered with care, emotion and meaning,” Evans said.

Rogers brought the Us + Them live show to Australia in 2018.
