Rod Stewart & Cyndi Lauper Announce 2023 Australian Tour

Sir Rod Stewart will return to Australia next year alongside Cyndi Lauper for a string of dates across the country.

The two legends, joined by Noiseworks singer Jon Stevens, will touch down in Perth on March 11, before venturing to Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, Mount Cotton, Sydney, Hunter Valley and Centennial Vineyards.

It’s been confirmed that Stewart will perform a “massive two-hour set from his vast catalogue of hits”, including tracks from 2021’s The Tears Of Hercules, while Lauper delivers “all of her most loved songs” across an hour set.

Back in January, Stewart was forced to axe his long-awaited return to the country due to “the ongoing surge of Covid in Australia and the reimposition of entertainment venue capacity limits in several states”.

The tour was first announced back in 2019 for October of 2020, but was postponed to March of this year before being cancelled completely.

At the time, he shared: “My dear friends, once again I feel we’ve all been cheated by this evil disease, so it is with great regret that I announce my shows for 2022 have had to be cancelled.

“My thoughts are with all your families at this difficult time as we come out of the joyous and hopefully safe holiday season and I look forward to returning to Australia as soon as the health situation permits. 

“I’m absolutely gutted with disappointment and when I do eventually get there we‘ll have the party to end all parties. Guaranteed!
